Michael Muse, President and CEO
Mr. Muse has over thirteen years of experience providing process and technology services to energy trading organizations. Mr. Muse received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1994 and a Masters Degree in Information Systems in 1996 from Louisiana State University. He began his career with Andersen’s Financial and Commodity Risk Consulting practice, working with energy trading companies (such as Coral, Aquila, Tractebel, PG&E, and others) on technology related projects. Mr. Muse left Andersen in 2000 to be a founding principal of Woodlands Technology, a technology startup developing a next generation Energy Trading and Risk Management solution still being marketed today. In January 2004, the assets of Woodlands Technology were sold to a subsidiary of Siemens, after which Mr. Muse served in a product management capacity with direct responsibility for the ETRM solution line. Mr. Muse has a strong knowledge of energy trading business functions (including front, mid and back office) and their associated technology issues as well as significant real world experience designing, developing, marketing, implementing, and managing ETRM solutions.
Stephen Wall, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Wall has over eighteen years of experience designing and developing complex software applications including over eleven years of experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems. Mr. Wall received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Sciences from the Ohio State University in 1990. Mr. Wall began his career with Battelle Memorial Institute’s Statistics and Data Analysis group providing clients with complex analytical processing solutions. Mr. Wall left Battelle in 1997 to accept a position with Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) in which he spearheaded the development of an ETRM system for use in the management of LG&E’s gas and power trading operations. Mr. Wall left LG&E in 2001 to join Woodlands Technology, a technology startup developing a next generation ETRM solution. In January 2004, the assets of Woodlands Technology were sold to a subsidiary of Siemens, after which Mr. Wall served as the development manager and chief architect for the ETRM solution line. Mr. Wall has proven experience architecting and managing large development projects and significant real world experience designing, architecting, and developing ETRM solutions.
